UPDATED: For all of those of you who are itching to see a
Halloween gig, this is just what you have been waiting for, and more! The benefit show with Brian
Thomas & SYRANT has a date
scheduled. It will be at the Hayloft Liquor Stand On Saturday April
14th. This will be to benefit Syrant's lead singer Steve Pirrone who was
recently paralyzed from an auto accident. Also appearing to help the

It may seem like its been quiet around here in the Halloween camp, but there has been a lot going on behind the scenes. To start off, Halloween has recorded a song for the new Rob Zombie's Halloween movie this year called "Where Is Michael". It is all completed and we are in the process of getting it in the correct peoples hands. We may share a snippet of the song soon so stay tuned. Beyond that, the band is also continuing on in the studio, and working on a new album, currently titled "TERRORTORY", & hoping for a release later this year. Brian has been working with our friends in the band SYRANT. Their singer Steve Pirrone has been recently involved in an auto accident and is paralyzed as a result from it. The band plans on doing a benefit show for Steve, and Brian Thomas has agreed to sing for them at this show. They are hoping to have a date somewhere within March or April. It will be a very special event, & they all can use your support, so please check back as we will release more details as they become available. Also the band has been preparing for their triumphant return to Germany in July. They are one of the headliners of a huge festival "The Headbangers Open Air Festival".
One last update.... DVD to be released soon!

It doesn't seem like a month has gone by since the last update... boy does time fly when you are working hard! As you probably have noticed on the main page, YES "HORROR FIRE" IS DONE. The guys have worked hard and long to get it just right. Soon you will all understand why it took a little longer than we hoped to get to this point. The result is a well refined, well oiled machine! All the guys are very happy with how it has turned out. This is the first time that the band was able to do an album the way they wanted from start to finish, without an outside pressure or influence to disrupt them. They are all excited and feel good with the final product. We are now in negotiations for manufacturing the album, so it will not be much longer and we will have an actual release date to announce. This album re-solidifies the bands position on top of the metal scene as they did back in the day with the classic "Don't Metal With Evil". This album is very unique, and has a little something for everyone. There are things in it that long time Halloween fans will find and notice throughout the album, along with tying up some unfinished business where past albums stopped. This album has all the things that you would expect from the name "Halloween" whether it be the holiday name or a band name. It is very creepy, dark, & scary album, and has plenty of ass kicking songs from start to finish. 19 tracks and over 1 hour of in your face metal! It's truly a new masterpiece! We can't wait for all of our fans to hear it! Stay tuned....
Hope all you little devils are having a Happy "bloody" Valentines day! And also hope it is as "eventful" as ours... ;-) Just wanted to post a quick note to let everyone know that George Neal will be available in the Chat room this Thursday 2/17/06 at 7:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Come on in and join the fun, and ask those burning questions..... Like "What's going one with the new album??? " & hear it right from the big guy himself! Really, the album is taking a bit longer than expected, but I will assure you this, its will be well worth the wait. You know, you can't rush perfection! The guys have been diligently putting forth all of their efforts toward completing this album, and have been making it their number one priority. I am sure each and every one of you will be blown away by how good it sounds. The quality of this is excellent, right from the first note that you hear, on down to the quality of the song writing, and finally to the production of the recordings themselves. This will be a top notch release to say the least. To be honest with you, I get chills when I hear it each time I hear a new tweaked part of a song, I can't imagine what it would be like for a fan to throw this disc in and hear it for the first time, it's going to blow your minds!!! If you haven't jumped over to the bands " MySpace" page, check it out and hear the latest recordings, recently we added two new songs (from this upcoming Horror Fire album) on there that you can listen to. Check them out, and give us some feedback. Hope to see everyone soon, and keep your eyes peeled, many more updates & changes to the site are underway, so keep checking back. Lugz
Once again we have received bad news that one or our old time friends has passed away. She used to hang around with the band back in the day with the original lineup. Brian & George want to pass their deepest sympathy on to GeGe's family and friends, she will be greatly missed. In saying this, I am sure they also would speak for Rick & Bill too. RIP GeGe
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Everyone in the Halloween camp would like to wish all our friends, fans, & family a very happy and prosperous new year! Our new CD isn't too far from being released. We are all excited to get it done and into your hands. Keep checking back and we will be posting progress as it nears its release.
Sorry for the lack of updates, but as with pretty much everyone, the holidays jump up upon us and tie up any spare time that anyone has. We felt the need to mention that Halloween has lost one of their long time friends who used to work with the band a while back. Corey Thomas use to be one of our road crew, and was a dear friend. His funeral was today, and words cant explain how much will be missed. "Rest In Peace Cory"
Come on out and help support one of our good friends R.G Rains. He is one of our artist friends, and he is putting his art on display which will include some of Halloween's artwork "Jack". This is on Dec 10th, please see the flyer below for more information. I am adding a link to a PDF file for ease of downloading and printing the flyer. You can download it here Other than that, work continues on the new album. Which will nearing the final stages very soon.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope everyone has a great holiday! Not much to post as far as updates. Just a ton of day to day work behind the scenes to get the album complete, and ready for release. Along with working on plans for next year.
Happy Halloween everyone!!! First of all we would like to thank everyone who made it out to a show this season! It's fans like you, who keep us going! THANK YOU! Secondly we would like to thank Billy Gray, Paul Duffy, & Shawn Moore, for playing with us acoustically at Wild Woody's, along with Doug Podell, for having us. It surly was a change of pace from the normal Halloween type of show, & it still kicked ass! Next we would like to thank Goat Horn, Sliver, Illusion, & Milligram Smile for coming out and jamming with us on Friday at the I-Rock, and we would like to thank Man Inc. for coming to join us at Walkers Speakeasy's last night. They were some great shows for sure! Hope everyone has a safe and fun time trick or treating! It's Halloween TONIGHT!!!!.
Busy week ahead! The guys have been very busy the last couple weeks with the last couple of shows. They would like to thank Collateral Damage, & Die Grinder for playing with us at the Elbow Room, especially BILLY GRAY, for coming up on stage and playing with us! It's been way too long! Also with last weekend at The Arena, we would like to thank SBU, Evil 3, & Mood Swingers! All the above mentioned bands are excellent local talent, and everyone should make a point to see these guys perform! Its quite a TREAT! And don't forget WRIF & Doug Podell on Motor City Riffs. It was fun to come into the studio and jam What A Nice Place live & acoustic, along with giving our fans a sneak peak at our new album. Another thing to note, did anyone notice that we came on WRIF precisely at 10:31... huh, imagine that! This week will be the real test for the guys..... 3 Shows! Wednesday - Wild Woodys WRIF night, called "Acoustic Hell". Friday - I-Rock Nightclub Sunday (Devils Night) Walker Speakeasys HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE THERE!!
Last Saturday night at The Machine Shop! What a blast! The guys came out and kicked some serious arse! Lots of new pics added in the band pics section from this show! Check em out! We would like to thank Kevin & Craig for the opportunity to come back to the Shop! Also, a big thank you to Motown Rage, & 2 Days Out. Lastly, a huge thank you to all the fans who came out to see us! We appreciate it very much. We will be back! NEXT UP.... The Elbow Room! Look out Ypsi!... You will never be the same after the Haunting's cease. I am sure your town will feel the aftershocks of "The Heavy Metal Horror Show" for quite some time. Get there early, this place is going to be packed, don't miss out on this special event!
Once again, more shows added! Check out the shows page for more details.
More shows added: UP NEXT The Machine Shop in Flint. Come on out and lets pack the house! Come on and show your support. More info on the shows page. Last Saturday in Port Huron was very cool. People came out to raise money for the Red Cross to help out with Hurricane relief. With lots of young people there, it was very cool to see a lot of them really getting into the band and seeing them for the first time!! PORT HURON ROCKS!
NEW SHOW DATES ADDED! Check out the Shows Page for more information.
MySpace.com : Here is a link to Halloween's MySpace acct: www.myspace.com/halloween1031 You my have missed out on this if you have not checked out the message board. So I thought it would throw a link on here too. Check it out sometime! If you have a myspace acct, feel free to add us as your friend.
New MERCHANDISE PAGE added to the site! We have our CDs on there along with the KEEP IT TRUE DVD, which is of Halloween's performance in Germany last year. More items for sale to be added very soon. The new album is coming along nicely, the recording is done, and now is being mixed down, & having effects added. This album is going to blow some minds. It is an incredible collection of songs that kick some serious ass! Stay tuned for more updates.
ATTENTION WOODWARD CRUISERS: Halloween will be making an appearance at the Woodward Cruise. They will be with a car club called "The Dead Society", which is a group of Hearses. I cant say exactly where they will be, because there is no particular spot that they intend to be at. Just look for "The Spectacle" at the spectacle of cars. They plan on passing out sampler CDs, and informational flyers regarding the upcoming album and the Halloween season which will soon be upon us.
Update: Donny Allen was arrested last week. The police filed charges against him for a murderous assault as an axeman on numerous accounts of whammy wailing guitar virtuosity during a recording session at Halloween studios. Allen, who is well known for his ear crushing solos, (typically known as "Shredding") with the band known as "Halloween", has pleaded "No Contest" due to the proof of recorded materials which is soon to be released by the band. Sources say that their latest material will reposition the band back on top of the underground metal scene. The band claims, not to take their word for it, but to come see for yourself this Halloween season.
NOTICE: ONLINE CHAT WITH GEORGE NEAL this Wednesday August 10th at 7:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. The chat session will be for 30 minutes. Read below in the previous entry for the details on accessing the chat room. Hope to see you all there!
A new chat room has been added back to the site. This one is much more stable than any used yet with our site. It CAN be accessed with and IRC client if desired, just view the details on the chat page itself. Again if you will be using the chat window from within the site, you will need to have Java installed on your PC. There is a link on the chat page for that also. If anyone needs any assistance with this feel free to contact me. For those of you who haven't noticed yet. I have posted two announcements in the message board. Only the users who have registered for it will be able to view it. So if you have not registered yet, now is the time to register. Users who have registered, you will need to log in to be able to view the locked topics. Just a little hint.... in one of the announcements there are details to where you can listen to some new demos!! And the other is in the Want ads section, for help wanted.
Latest updates to the website: new GUESTBOOK and a new MESSAGE BOARD. Use the link in the main navigation menu to check them out. The guestbook is a typical guestbook, but the new message board should be a nice addition to the site. We have several forums in there, which will make the site a bit more interactive. You can interact with fans, the band, and other musicians. Please take the time to register for the message board, and check it out often. If you have any suggestions regarding the message board, please feel free to contact me. Thanks, Luggy
The transfer to Provide America is now complete. We are very happy to be on board with them. Their servers are top notch and will allow us to broaden our horizons with the website. We want to thank Michael Lafferty specifically for all his help in making the switch as smooth and as quickly as possible. You can contact them at www.provideamerica.com It has been brought to our attention that some lame ass STOLE David Black's (Seduce / Crud) 1961 Fender Telecaster from Harleyfest on Saturday. If anyone has any information on where it is, or who had anything to do with it, please contact us. You can remain anonymous if you desire. Here is a pic of it, please keep your eyes open for it at pawn shops or possibly on eBay.
News from the Pumpkin Patch: Recording is still in progress and the guys are staying hard at work with it. The material for this album is really sounding impressive! This will definitely become another outstanding chapter in the Halloween catalog. Stay tuned for more details very soon. Brian would like to say "Hey" to Rick from Adrian. He said it was very cool to run into a long time fan as yourself. Keep in contact with us. Good to see our friends Seduce Headlining Harlyfest this year. Hopefully these are signs of music from our era are resurfacing into mainstream once again. Congratulations guys! Congratulations also go out to Rachel from Broadzilla for playing for Grinder also! One more thing, the website is in progress to be transferred to Provide America, (the same great hosts who also do Motor City Rock's website). These guys provide excellent servers, along with unsurpassed support, we are excited to get the transfer complete. These changes will enable us to do many more things with the website, so keep checking back for new changes forthcoming.
We are getting a lot of feedback saying that there were problems with the link to see the video made to the re-recorded "Victims Of The Night". The Video that was made for promoting a game called Dark Age Of Camelot. It has been posted at a better link now. You can download it by right-clicking here. And choose "Save Target As", or you can go to the page that currently hosts it by clicking here. Many new exciting things on the horizons for Halloween. Stay tuned for details soon!
Sorry for the long delay for an update on
the site. Besides Halloween working on some new material, we all have
been very busy for the last month with relocating Halloween's
Headquarters. The City of Hazel Park has been pursuing their old
rehearsal site trying to force them out. This all started back with the
"Fan Jam" night. When they had to stop for a quick moment to talk to the
police, it didn't take very long for the city to come down hard on them
and become a royal pain in the _ _ _! Check this out: This is just one more thing this band has had to endure. Once again they have risen to the occasion by continuing on and not giving up. Halloween came out last week and made an appearance at the DMA awards, in which they were nominated for. Unfortunately, they did not win the award. Halloween would like to congratulate our friends Broadzilla for winning the award. I have posted new pic's of them at the Pre Show in the Band Pic's section. One last thing, check out this mp3 sample of a new updated version of "Vicitms Of The Night". Let us know what you think
Halloween has been NOMINATED for the Detroit Music Awards. They are nominated for the category Best Hard Rock / Metal Band. Halloween would like to say THANK YOU to everyone that supported them in getting nominated! THE VOTING PHASE HAS BEGUN, and we would like to ask for your support by going back to the DMA site and vote for Halloween to WIN the award. VOTING ENDS APRIL 4th, so don't delay! They are up against some strong competition, please make an effort to vote. Every vote makes a difference! If you are involved in the local music scene, in any way, go to the DMA site and register. Once you are registered with them, you are able to vote. We also would like to congratulate our friends in also being nominated (Broadzilla, Ray Street Park, Dave Daniele, etc) Although we may be competing with some in our category, we ask that you would consider supporting our friends where it is possible. Again, a big THANK YOU to all that have helped Halloween and our friends with your support on this. ALSO NOTE: Updates to band pic archives, & fan pic's are also added today.
NOTICE TO ALL FANS: George Neal will be hosting another chat with fans this Sunday March 13th, at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. George is looking for feedback from the fans regarding what they would like to see from Halloween in the future. Come join us and speak your mind! Here is the link to the Chat Room I will also add a link on the main directory menu, just look for the word "Chat". NOTE: you will need Java installed on your pc to join, if you don't have it, go to http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_automatic.jsp to download and install. AOL users may need to connect to the internet, then open Internet Explorer and browse to the site using I.E. You will also still need Java installed too. I hope that heads off a lot of issues before the chat. Try it out before hand to make sure it works for you. Hope to see you there.
Pics have been added to the "Band Pics" section. More were submitted for the 09-12-04 show by Don. There are new pics added in the "archives" section too. More pics to follow shortly. Update for the band - The band has done a little upgrading on some of their equipment.. Things are progressing nicely as far as being able to begin recording in the near future, on both old and new projects.
Halloween will be going underground for a while to plant some seeds for the upcoming harvest. Unless some special event presents itself, there will be no shows until an album is recorded. Keep checking back for updates on the progress.
NOTICE: HALLOWEEN HAS CANCELLED THEIR APPEARANCE IN ALLENTOWN PA. Brian Thomas has re-injured his back, and is unable to perform this weekend. Doctors say to rest, and take it easy for a couple weeks. Hopefully he will be back at it again real soon. Keep checking back for more updates.
Halloween would like to thank all the bands who shared the stage last Saturday night. Also we would like to thank all the loyal fans that came out to support such a great metal night. This would not be possible without everyone who was involved. Thank you to all.
A little late on getting an addition to the SHOWS page, Halloween is playing a show in Allentown Pennsylvania Saturday Feb 12, along with Seven Witches. This is a FREE show, for a DVD shoot. Check out the shows page for more info!
Some of you may have noticed that new pics have been posted in a few areas. The Bio page has some added, the Band Pics page, along with Band Pic ARCHIVES, and of course the Fan Pics page. Many more to come, keep checking back.
Halloween would like to thank BlackRushin, Miscreants, & Broke for coming out and sharing the stage with us on New Years Day! Thank you very much! Also another big thanks to all the fans that came out to support us over the double header weekend. There have been some photos added to the band pics, & the fan pics to check out. There will be many more to follow soon, so keep checking back.
There is a new section added to the site called "Friends & Fans Of Halloween". It's a addition to this site were fans can send in pics of themselves involving Halloween. If you have anything, send them on in, and we will get them added. (The link is on the main menu)
On behalf of everyone on the Halloween crew, we would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas, and hope everyone has a joyous day with friends and family. We will see you all soon, and remember Halloween has 2 shows coming up. First, on New Years Eve at The Arena in Highland, and New Years Day at the Token Lounge. For more details, check out the Shows page.
Last night Brian hung out with his old band mate & bro Shawn Moore from Abandon. They were in Shawn's studio to discuss some future recordings. They hung out till the wee hours of the morning working on some demo tracks. They did an acoustic version of In Darkness, and another song called Lets Pretend. With just some raw tracks, and no final mixing, they are sounding excellent. Things are looking good towards doing some future projects within his studio. Brian also ran into Jay from WRIF, who now produces the show "Motor City Riffs". Soon we will be ready to have some stuff on WRIF showcasing some new material. Keep an ear open & keep checking back for updates.
Pic's of Dan & Basha's baby Mia can be viewed HERE Once again, Congratulations! Also, if you haven't noticed, make sure you view the SHOWS page, some new shows have been added, and there are still more to be confirmed for 2005!
Halloween's Youngest fan????? Well just maybe.... only time will tell... Our Man Dan, who courageously came out to the show Friday night knowing that his wife was pregnant and was past her due date. He came on out to do his normal guitar tech stuff thinking that he may get "the call" and have to run to the hospital at any time. Well that didn't happen, but after he got home, and before he had a chance to get some good ol sleep, his wife went into labor and a few hours later, at 5:05 AM gave birth to a baby girl!! She was 6lbs 12oz and very healthy! They named her Jack-o-lynn...... ah hem!..... (sorry wrong story)..... no, really they named her Mia Markese Rose, and she is a BEAUTIFUL BABY! Both Mom and the Mia, are doing great!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! The MotorCityRock benefit had a great turnout! Lots of people came out to support the site and all the bands who performed. It was nice to see such a great success! This just proves that Detroit Rock City is still alive and well supporting local rock. Regardless if its today's more modern rock, or good ol' band that have rockin for many years! Thank you to all who came out and supported the event. Thank you to the I-Rock Night Club for hosting such an event. Also thank you to JP (John Patrick) for creating and maintaining MotorCityRock website. Taking care of such a site is a major commitment, and Halloween would like to thank you personally for supporting this band! Halloween came out and was "The Show" for the night, proving once again why they have captured "Legend Status" here in Detroit! They came out and rocked the place, with a set list that is very different from the norm. It was very nice to see songs that they haven't played in quite a while, and playing Kill Driver was the highlight of the night for myself personally! It's just a reminder how how large their catalog of music is, and the diversity of this band, its no wonder why they a considered legends here in Detroit! ANNOUNCEMENT: Come on start the new year with Halloween! They will be playing at the Token Lounge on Jan 1 2005. More details soon as they are confirmed.
Yesterday the guys practiced and ran through the set a few times, & things are sounding real tight!! This Friday is the MotorCityRock Show! So come on out and see this great performance from the guys! The set list is very different from any other, they are doing a lot of songs that haven't been played live in quite some time. Don't miss this rare opportunity!! I threw up a few pics from the Fan Jam night, check em out. There will be more to follow.
Preparations are underway to be ready for the MotorCityRock website benefit show. The guys are still getting together weekly to brush the dust off of some old songs that they haven't done in a while. You will be able to see some at this upcoming show. Tentatively this is what they are planning on playing, but it's subject to change at any time. We are currently working on putting together a large photo section on the site. There will be several categories for all the types of photos. First of all we are creating an "archive section" of the band, in all the different forms it has taken over the years. Next we want to make a "Fan Page", were you the fan sends a pic of yourself, or maybe a pic with you and a band member, etc. Also, we will be making a pic section called "Little Monsters" for the youngest Halloween fans. Send a pic of them in Halloween costume. There will be more sections as this area of the site grows. Email your pics of your kids in costume, pics of yourself, and vintage or current photos of the band that you may have. Email them to luggyz-1@yahoo.com
Yesterday (Wednesday 11-03) Donny had his knee surgery. He spent approx 10 hours in the hospital, and the doctors worked behind his knee cap. Everything went fine, and as expected. He is now at home recovering, and will be back to normal in no time, although the doctors say its an 8 week recovery time. We want to wish him a speedy recovery..... But Donny, no climbing trees for a while, ok bro!!! Halloween is looking for donations for old Halloween decorations, costumes, supplies, etc. Don't just throw out your old Halloween supplies. If you have anything that you would like to donate, please email us, and give us a brief description of what it is you wish to donate. In other news... Everyone who was at The New Dodge show back in August, or at the Fan Jam last week got to see Jerry Hier play bass during the song Vicious Lies. Well Jerry has joined a new band BlackRushin, and they have a gig coming up in Lake Orion at the Wagon Wheel on November 4th. It would be nice to have some fans go out there and support our friends. You can find a link to their web site on our links page.
Thank you to Brian, George, Donny & Rob, and even more, thank you to the fans who came to the FAN JAM appreciation show. It was such a success, because all of you fans who came to the show!!! The band would like to express their gratitude to all who attended. Actually they already did that by playing much longer than they originally planned. The vibes were good so they kept on giving. It sure is good to see some great messages on the guest book too. By the looks of it, the new songs went over very well!! Let us know what you think, send us some feedback on the feedback page, or the guestbook if you rather do it publicly. Next up on the Halloween schedule is a show.. It's a benefit show for motorcityrock.com On Friday, December 3rd, there will be a Motorcityrock.com benefit at the I-Rock Nightclub, 16350 Harper in Detroit. The benefit will feature live performances from: Abuse, Dave Edwards Band (featuring members from The Look), The Meanies, Halloween, and RockStar (featuring members of Trick Bag, Tempest, and Miss Fortune). Visit here for more info on it. One more thing for today, here is a link to the interview Brian did on Friday 10/29/04 on WRIF with Doug Podell. Click here to listen, or right click on the link and choose "save as" to keep a copy. It's in MP3 format, so an mp3 player or the latest windows media player is required for listening.
Just a quick reminder, to spread the word that this website is the ONLY place for your up to date Halloween information, there are other sites that are outdated, and are not under our control what so ever. We had a fan drive out to Highland Michigan this week to see us play at The Arena, and that was info from 2 years ago. Please pass on this web site to everyone you know. Thanks! For those of you who missed it, Brian was on WRIF during the High Noon request hour with Doug Podell. He spoke of all the things the band has been up to, and what is in the works, ex. Devils Night Fan Jam, along with a couple more things to be announced here shortly. We will post the interview here on the web site soon, along with some new information. Check back soon to see what's up. Tomorrow night, we will see some of you at the FAN JAM rehearsals, it should be a great time! Can't wait to see how the response is with the new songs, they rock!!
Preperations for the now called "FAN JAM NIGHT" were still underway last weekend. The guys rehearsed yesterday and learned the rest of the songs from the Fire Still Burns album. They mastered songs like,"The Seer", "Ways Of Man", "Fighting Words", & "Rage". They have approximately 40 songs ready to be played live! Shawn Moore from ABANDON stopped by to see how the guys were doing, and even joined in and jammed along with a couple songs, like "In Darkness" & "Rage" There are still a couple more spots available if someone still would like to come. Just go to the FEEDBACK link, and type FAN JAM in the subject, & please include your name and email address. This will truly be a SPECIAL "one of a kind" night in Halloween History!
For those of you who MISSED THE CHAT, the ANNOUNCEMENT was made by GEORGE NEAL promptly at 8:30. He stated first of all, with Brian recently having back surgery, that there would be NO HALLOWEEN SHOW THIS SEASON. They were going to wait for everyone to be healthy before returning to the stage. Although, they have been working very hard on writing new material, and they are very excited to share this with fans. Then he proceeded to say that they want to put on a PRIVATE REHEARSAL WITH FRIENDS. It's a way to say "Thanks" to the long term loyal fans here in Detroit. It is going to be held in a very small place in Ferndale, so space is VERY LIMITED. This will be done by INVITATION ONLY!. It will be on DEVILS NIGHT, from 6:00PM to 9:00PM. In order to be invited, fans must fill out the FEEDBACK section, on the site, please include your name, email addy, and in the subject state its for PRIVATE REHEARSAL. Space is running out!! Good Luck!

Yesterday, I went to see the guys REHEARSE, and they were sounding great. They were very busy working on the new material. I heard one new song called "TERRORTORY" and it is a killer tune!
